Paintings
Miss.Perception was an exhibition put on by myself and the girls in the Advanced Painting Workshop at University of Wisconsin-Madison in the Spring of 2022. My central focus with my paintings over the semester long workshop was to create scenes that the viewer could see themselves stepping inside of. Scenes that were dark and foreboding as much as they were hopeful and serene.
Pieces of Me is a soft canvas painted book depicting various objects that I associate with significant memories and people. Their permanence in the test of time is unknown, such as the plant that stretches across all of the pages cannot live forever. However, their documentation through this book allows them to live forever with more meaning than a photograph.
